Faculty

SIMT has a diverse pool of intellectual capital drawn from various fields, endowed with rich teaching and industry experience. Apart from serving their core function of imparting education, faculty at SIMT is the principle driver of change through their direct involvement in every aspect of the private institute – curricular, co-curricular and extra curricular activities contributing to overall development of the students whereas also extending their co-operation in governance and development activities. The faculty combines high standards of teaching and mentoring through their expertise, to convert knowledge into wisdom. The efforts of core faculty members are supplemented by visiting faculty from leading institutions and organizations.

Teaching Methodology

1. THEORY CLASSES :
Theory classes are taken by highly competent and experienced faculty having more than 30 years of experience. Notes are given to students at the time of teaching & Modern teaching Aid are used in classes like LCD & OHP.

2. TUTORIALS:
Tutorials are arranged for a relatively smaller group by faculty, where students can discuss their problems one-on-one.

3. CLASS PRESENTATION:
To improve expression power of the students some topics are given them they have to delever the topic on this basis grade is awarded.

4. PRACTICALS:
Practical sessions are conducted in well equipped state of the art laboratories to give hands on experience on theoretical concepts.

5. GUEST LECTURES:
Renowned people from industry are invited to campus for guest lectures, who brief on the industrial application of theoretical concepts and acquaint with other important issues.

6. SUMMER TRAININGS:
Students are expected to undergo Summer Trainings, as part of their curriculum,. Summer trainings are arranged by the institute in companies and offices of repute.

7. GROUP DISSCUSSION:
Frequent Group Discussion activities are organized both at co-curricular and extra curricular level, to enhance group speaking abilities and also update them with current happenings.

8. WORKSHOPS:
Workshops on various topics are conducted at regular intervals throughout the year by institute.

9. IILLUSTRATION:
This focuses on Communication techniques and communication building skills for their over all development.

10. VIDEOS:
Videos on important topics are available in the Library, which can be referred to by students as a part of their curriculum.

11. CLASS PRESENTATION:
To Improve these Expression power of the students are given them they have to deliver the topic on this basis Grade is awardy.

12. LIVE PROJECTS:
Students are expected to take up Live Projects pertaining to their area of relevance, to enable them develop a detailed understanding of chosen topic. Students are expected to submit a Project Report at the completion of project.

System of Evaluation

Attendance is mandatory for all internal evaluations which are scheduled periodically in the form of class assessments, Class Test, pre-board examinations and on the basic of Regular progress Assessment .
